About the Owner:

Hello, my name is Joe Schulz AKA: Pacific Northwest Gold Prospector and here's a little bit about me.

Starting out as a young boy I was always digging for treasures and exploring the outdoors. As time went on and I was a bit older, I got my first metal detector and I WAS OFF!!! Nothing special, but I just knew it was going to make me RICH!!!! I scoured our parks and ball fields just knowing it was just a matter of time.... But after what seemed like an endless piggy bank of coins and pull tabs, that maybe getting RICH was a bit out of range... Then, during a hunting trip when I was 14 I believe it was, I was handed a gold pan and we sat at camp in the afternoon panning for gold. It was there I found my first picker (barely a penny weight, but I was young) A whole new addiction was born!!! I kept a pan with me any time I was near water from then on... and still do... Although I have graduated up to a 4" dredge now... LOL

Now, after retiring from building custom homes, I find myself needing something to do. So, here we are writing an about me page for a new Prospecting/Detecting shop. Go figure... While I'm not super experienced with this new technology of detectors ( which I WILL learn) I do know my way around a stream pretty well... Above and below the surface.

I am committed and look forward to gaining your confidence/trust/support in the shop by carrying only QUALITY GEAR at AFFORDABLE PRICES!!!!
